In 1957, L.E. Sidener started Sidener Supply, a water and wastewater distributor, in an old Anheuser Busch distribution center located in Granite City, IL. The company grew with the Sidener policy of “Sidener Supplies Satisfied Service”.
As the company expanded in sales, locations and employees, Mr. Sidener saw the opportunity to offer more services for his customers.
In 1967, LESCO Service Company was created to offer chlorination equipment sales and service, pressure tapping, rental equipment and water meter repair.
The goal of this company is satisfied customers and happy employees. We shall always endeavor to have customers who are pleased with the service we give them and the quality of materials we sell. Sidener Environmental will continue to stress that we want employees working for us that enjoy what they do; unless that is true, they cannot be a success on their job and cannot add to the success of this company
In 1976, The Sidener Supply Company corporate office was moved to St. Louis, MO and LESCO Service Company changed to Sidener Environmental Services, Inc.
Sidener became highly regarded as a leader in the water and wastewater industry with quality products, service and personnel. The business grew from three employees in 1957 to over two hundred employees, sixteen branches and a premier distributor in the midwest.
In 1985, Sidener Environmental moved from the original Granite City, Il location to a new location in St. Louis, MO off of Concourse Dr. in the Westport area.
In 1997, the Sidener Family sold Sidener Supply, including Sidener Environmental to U.S. Filter. Sidener Environmental Services, Inc. was immediately re-purcahsed by L.E. Sidener. The name was kept and a new office and warehouse were built.
In 2000, the Sidener family, company and friends mourned the loss of L.E. Sidener, C.E.O and founder of Sidener Supply Company and Sidener Environmental Services, Inc. L.E. Sidener II became President and C.E.O and insured that the company will continue to be a leading distributor with the same quality products, superior service and dedicated employees.
In 2004, due to high customer demand, a dedicated Service Technician was stationed and assigned to the Western Missouri and Kansas markets. With this expansion, Sidener Environmental was able to meet and exceed these demands, while continuing to provide the same Top-Notch On-Site services.
2012 saw a partnership between Sidener Environmental with Walchem (An Iwaki America Company) and Siemens Water Technologies (now Evoqua Water Technologies) to become preferred dealers and an authorized service center for each company’s products.
